The New England Patriots have reached an agreement to bring back WR Kendrick Bourne, finalizing a contract extension late on Sunday night, per Boston Globe's Andrew Callahan.

The deal, worth $19.5 million over three years with a maximum value of $33 million, was finalized just 15 hours before the start of the legal tampering period.
Bourne, a fan favorite, turns 29 years old before kickoff and is currently rehabbing a torn ACL, but a $6.5 million base proves to be a team-friendly deal for a player who has publicly expressed a desire to come back to the Patriots. He said recently in an interview that the "Patriots hold a special place in my heart, so I would love to go back." Bourne has appeared in 41 games and caught 127 passes for 1,640 yards and 10 touchdowns.
