The New England Patriots have released veteran wide receiver DeVante Parker, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It was reported earlier in the day, that the Patriots were seeking a trade partner, but ultimately they couldn't find a buyer and ended up releasing Parker. Parker was acquired from the Miami Dolphins in 2022 for a third-round pick as an attempt to revamp the Patriots receiver room, which has been struggling for the better part of the past half-decade. The release comes with a $6.3m dead cap hit, and only a $143,000 cap savings.
